Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use Tempus?
No. Tempus works with your existing Atlassian Cloud account. There's no separate registration — install the extension, authorize with Jira, and you're ready.
How does payment work?
Pro is a monthly subscription via Stripe. After payment you receive a license key by email. Activate it in Settings → Account inside the extension. You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
All your data stays in Jira — Tempus is just the interface. Pro features become unavailable, but your logged hours, worklogs and Jira data remain untouched.
What does "BYOK" mean for AI?
Bring Your Own Key. With the Pro plan, you connect your own Claude or Gemini API key and get unlimited AI analyses. The upcoming Pro AI plan includes 50 analyses/month without needing your own key.
Is there a free trial for Pro?
The Free tier is permanent and fully functional for individual developers. You can evaluate all core features before deciding if your team needs Pro.
