Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use Tempus?
No. Tempus works with your existing Atlassian Cloud account. There's no separate registration — install the extension, authorize with Jira, and you're ready.
How does payment work?
Pro is a monthly subscription via Stripe. After payment you receive a license key by email. Activate it in Settings → Account inside the extension. You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
All your data stays in Jira — Tempus is just the interface. Pro features become unavailable, but your logged hours, worklogs and Jira data remain untouched.
What does "BYOK" mean for AI?
Bring Your Own Key. With the Pro plan you connect your own Claude or Gemini API key and run AI analyses directly against your provider, so your prompts and responses never pass through Tempus.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Tempus Pro has a 7-day free trial — no credit card and no email required. You start it in one click from inside the extension (one trial per Jira account). When it ends you stay on the permanent, fully functional Free tier unless you choose to upgrade.
Do you offer volume or team pricing?
