Getting started
Install Tempus, connect Jira, and log your first hours — about a minute, no account required.
Tempus is a Chrome extension for Jira Cloud. It adds one-click time tracking, an AI that drafts your timesheets, and project intelligence for PMs — all processed in your browser. You do not need to create a Tempus account.
Install the extension
- Open the Tempus listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome, then pin the Tempus icon to your toolbar.
- Open any Jira Cloud tab — Tempus activates automatically.
Connect Jira
Open the Tempus side panel and authorize Jira with your Atlassian account. Tempus uses OAuth 2.0 and requests only the scopes it needs to read and write worklogs. Your session connects your browser directly to Jira — nothing is proxied through a Tempus server.
Log your first hours
- Open a Jira issue. Tempus adds a logging panel to the issue screen.
- Start the one-click timer, or type hours for one or several days.
- Add an optional work comment and confirm — it writes straight to Jira (and Tempo, if connected).
Unlock the AI features (Pro)
AI Auto-log, AI project analysis, team compliance and the CRM integrations are part of Tempus Pro (€2.99/month or €22.99/year). AI analysis is bring-your-own-key: you connect your own Claude or Gemini API key. See AI Auto-log and Privacy & data handling.
